Parque Urbano de San Juan - Telde

PARQUE URBANO DE SAN JUAN

Parque Urbano de San Juan is located in Telde, in the district of the same name. Since year 1999, when it was finally finished, it is considered a symbol of Telde as the town of XXIst century.

Parque Urbano de San Juan - Telde This park is the second largest urban park on whole archipelago of Canary Islands. On the surface of 135000 m2 were gathered a great variety of plant species, mini-zoo and perfectly prepared playground for the children. The area of the park includes also the San Juan cementary - left here because of bureaucracy reasons, and a small lake located right next to it. In another part of park is situated a charming place with sculptures created to celebrate a memory of Plácido Fleitas - the artist from Telde. But without a doubt the greatest attraction of park are: walking alleys covered with plant tunnels, climbing wall, an observation tower with a clock and the fresh-air audytorium, where the numerous events, shows and concerts take their places.
